Ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes are caused by different factors and therefore require both require different forms of treatment. Treatment suitable for one kind of stroke can be harmful to someone who has had a different kind. After a stroke, recovery will also include rehabilitative activities such as speech therapy or physical therapy.
